Elderhaus provides structured and stimulating daycare activities for adults, primarily the elderly. Elderhaus serves persons with a variety of needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Elderhaus also serves veterans. Volunteers are needed as program aides, activity assistants and meal servers. Volunteer board members oversee fund-raising, public relations, educational activities and more. Elderhaus has a 7,000-square-foot center to serve the area's increasing need for these services. Elderhaus serves New Hanover, Pender and Brunswick counties.
