The Wrightsville Beach Museum is housed in the circa 1909 Myers cottage, one of the oldest cottages on the beach. Opened in May 1995, the museum presents exhibits an eclectic array of beach history.

Walk through the Myers cottage and step into 1930's beach living. The interior harkens to a bygone era; the bedroom with period furnishings, a bathroom with 1920s bathing suits hanging out to dry, and a kitchen with items typical of a kitchen in the 1920s-40s. The museum has a scaled model of the beach and its buildings circa 1910, a donated shell collection, a trolley car accessible by the porch, and a fish pond from the front door.

The museum hosts an annual fund-raiser called Lumina Daze in August, as well as a full schedule of programming throughout the year. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday 10 AM to 4 PM, Saturday noon to 5 PM and Sunday 1 to 5 PM, closed on Monday. Entrance to the museum and parking are both free. The museum is wheelchair accessible. Upon crossing the drawbridge, bear left at the Wrightsville Beach sign; the museum is the second driveway on the right.
