November 2020  Held each year on the weekend following Thanksgiving, the Flotilla is a top 20 "Must See Events in the Southeast."  The celebration will be a little diffrerent this year to allow for social distancing. Instead of the usual boat-judging contest with 50,000 people on the shoreline, this year is going to be a dock judging competition from the water. All residents and businesses on the Flotilla route are encouraged to decorate their homes and docks with seasonal lighting. Floodlights and spotlights are not permitted as they will impair navigation on the waterways. Judging will take place from aboard the Carolina Runner on Friday and Saturday, with winners being announced on Sunday.
