Wrightsville Beach, NC, is home to many fine shops and boutiques and is close to some of Wilmington's finest shopping. From souvenirs to surfing gear to clothing, you're sure to find something to interest you in the area.
Take a stroll down North Lumina Ave in Wrightsville Beach and stop in Sweetwater Surf Shop for all your surfing and beach fashion needs. Here, you'll find Tom's shoes, sandals like Reef and Sanuk, and a huge selection of surfboards, body boards, skim board, and skateboards. If you're lucky, you'll be in town for one of their sidewalk sales (usually at the change of the seasons) for great deals. Head south to Waynick Blvd. and be sure to stop in at Hallelu Boutique, a eclectic shop with a selection of trendy, elegant, and timeless clothing, shoes, and jewelry.
In the Landing on Causeway Drive is Surf City Surf Shop, "a shop for surfers by surfers." Stop in here to get the latest surf report on Wrightsville Beach conditions, talk with other surfers, and shop their large variety of surfboards, body boards, skateboards, and other gear. You'll find all your need for your trip to the beach here — from sunglasses to bathing suits to flip flops.
Don't leave the island without checking out Motts Channel Seafood, a local seafood tradition since 1990. Here, you'll find a large selection of fresh local high-quality seafood, as well as an extensive selection of sauces and spices. Not sure how to cook your selection? Don't worry, the folks at Motts can give you cooking advice as well. For anglers, you'll find a live and frozen bait, as well as ice for your catch.
Just over the bridge is a shopper's paradise. Stop at CoolSweats on Wrightsville Ave for comfortable, yet sophisticated styles for women. Head down Eastwood Road to Lumina Station, where you can shop to your heart's content, while your husband rocks in a rocking chair enjoying the coastal breezes. Lumina Station offers everything for a full day of retail therapy: unique dress shops like Island Passage, Ziabird, and Beanie + Cecil and exceptional products for bed, bath, and home at Airlie Moon. Relax after a day of shopping at Harbour Club Day Spa and Salon and stop at the Dirty Martini for a post-shopping cocktail or Port City Java for fresh-brewed coffee. Have lunch at one of Lumina Station's fine restaurants.
For more shopping, take a right at the light on Military Cut-off Road and stop in at the Landfall Center for gifts, apparel, and home decor. Further down Military Cut-off Road, you'll find the Forum, home to Spectrum Art and Jewelry, featuring the work of more than a hundred select American artists, Ki Spa Salon, a full-service salon, Ropa, Etc., which specializes in natural fiber women's clothing, and Tara Grinna Swimwear, a designer swimwear store. Mayfaire Town Center is also nearby and offers a diverse selection of shops including Barnes and Noble, Banana Republic, J. Crew, Pottery Barn, Ann Taylor, and Talbots. While there are no shops on Figure Eight Island, NC, nearby Wilmington offers all the shopping your heart desires.
