Sunshine is always in abundance when you’re on the shores of Wrightsville Beach, no matter what the season. While the climate is considered mild, it is still not immune to the seasonal changes. During summer months, temperatures usually fluctuate between the 80s and 90s, with July being the hottest month. The 63 percent humidity index can make it feel higher, but luckily you're never far from the reprieve of an ocean dip! Winter never lasts too long; December, January and February are the coldest months of the year, with temperatures averaging in the 40s but sometimes dipping into the 30s. The rest of the year stays pleasantly tranquil in the 60 to 70-degree range.
It should be kept in mind that the months from June 1 to November 30 are considered the Atlantic hurricane season, and with Wrightsville Beach located on the southern tip of North Carolina's coast, it can potentially lie in a storm's path. While Wrightsville Beach hasn't sustained significant damage since 1999, it is still best to stay aware.
